Preparing Students Intentionally
Entrepreneurship · Careers · Leadership
Knowledge and technical proficiency remain essential. But students also need the capability to recognise opportunities, navigate uncertainty, create value, adapt and lead meaningful action.
Parallel Ventures develops approaches that make this capability layer intentional, preparing students for entrepreneurship, careers and leadership.
Preparing Students For
Recognising opportunities, exercising agency and building ventures.
Becoming adaptable, resourceful and able to create value at work.
Taking responsibility, influencing others and navigating uncertainty.
Three pathways. One underlying capability layer.
Higher education prepares students through academic knowledge, domain expertise, technical skills, placement initiatives, entrepreneurship programmes and leadership opportunities. Yet the capabilities that shape how students think, decide, collaborate, adapt and act are often expected to develop along the way.
Founder Capability Development begins with a different premise: this capability layer can be developed intentionally, progressively and through experience, strengthening students for entrepreneurship, careers and leadership.
Founder Capability Development (FCD) is a structured approach to intentionally developing the capabilities students need to recognise opportunities, navigate uncertainty, create value, adapt and lead meaningful action.
FCD originated in the founder journey, but its relevance extends far beyond entrepreneurship. The same underlying capabilities help students become more capable founders, employees and leaders.
CCL translates Founder Capability Development into a structured learning programme that prepares students intentionally for entrepreneurship, careers and leadership. It is built around the Seven-Track learning architecture and supported by the StartupBox Learning System.
