Founder Stories is not a curriculum, a case-study collection or a set of lessons arranged around fixed themes. The stories are written as reflections on moments in the founder journey: sometimes practical, sometimes personal, sometimes unexpectedly close to the questions that later became part of Founder Capability Development.
They are allowed to meander. The point is not to force every story into a framework, but to notice something about what building asks of the person doing the building.
Season 1 is almost complete. Eleven stories are now published on LinkedIn, with Story 12 — Becoming — coming soon.
The first season follows the founder journey through questions of ideas, judgement, belief, leadership, trust, uncertainty and becoming.
A reflection on the moment an idea stops being a passing thought and quietly begins changing the person who may one day build it.
Why early conviction can become attachment, and why the conversations that challenge an idea may be more valuable than those that validate it.
An exploration of the quieter seasons when little appears to be happening outside, while reflection is changing how the founder sees the problem.
On the questions founders avoid, and the role a mentor can play by reflecting back what the founder may already know but has not yet faced.
A story about periods of intense effort without visible progress, and the invisible growth that may be taking place within the founder.
A reflection on the person who believes before there is proof, and how borrowed belief can expand a founder's sense of what they might become.
Where mentorship ends and judgement begins: learning from others without turning advice into a substitute for making your own decisions.
How the strengths that make a founder indispensable early on can later constrain growth, and why letting go is often as much about identity as delegation.
On the assumptions, habits and recurring patterns that rarely look like mistakes at the time, yet quietly shape decisions and outcomes.
A reflection on the quiet consistency through which founders earn trust long before customers, employees, partners or investors can know the future.
How experience changes a founder's relationship with uncertainty: not by removing it, but by strengthening the judgement to act without demanding certainty first.
The Season 1 conclusion: a reflection on how founders begin by trying to build a venture, only to discover that the journey has been quietly building them too.
