Founder Capability Development · Capability Framework · Seven Tracks

Founder Capability brings together the discipline and architecture behind our work: Founder Capability Development defines what we seek to develop, while the Capability Framework provides the fixed seven-Track structure through which that development is understood and applied.

The Architecture

Founder Capability Development

The originating discipline for intentional capability development.

The fixed architecture through which the capabilities are organised.

One Intellectual Architecture

Discipline first. Framework second. Application follows.

The work begins with a simple distinction. Ventures, programmes and organisations can be designed, but so can the human capabilities that enable people to recognise possibilities, exercise judgement, create value, adapt and lead.

Founder Capability Development is the discipline that makes this development intentional. The Capability Framework translates that discipline into a stable architecture of seven Tracks. Different contexts can then interpret the same Framework through their own Capability Translation Layers without changing its underlying structure.

The Discipline

Founder Capability Development

FCD is the originating philosophy and discipline behind the work. It asks what capabilities enable people to move through uncertainty, make better judgements, create value, build systems, adapt and influence others.

Although derived from the founder journey, these capabilities are not confined to founders. They can be developed and translated across entrepreneurship, careers, organisational work and leadership.

The Framework

The Capability Framework

The Capability Framework is the fixed architecture arising from FCD. It organises development across seven Tracks: Clarity, Build, Sell, Scale, Shift, Wellness and Amplify.

The Tracks and their underlying capability objectives remain constant. What changes across contexts is the language, examples, learning design and application through which those capabilities are interpreted.

Seven Fixed Tracks

One framework. Seven developmental journeys.

The Tracks provide continuity across every interpretation of the Capability Framework. Their names and developmental intent do not change when the Framework moves from one context to another.

Clarity Build Sell Scale Shift Wellness Amplify

The framework stays fixed. Its interpretation changes with context.

From Framework to Context

The same capabilities can be translated differently.

A Capability Translation Layer interprets the fixed Framework for a particular context. It changes how the capabilities are expressed, learned and applied, without changing the seven Tracks themselves.

Academic Context

Kinesis

Kinesis is the academic and institutional adoption architecture. Its translation layer applies the Capability Framework to entrepreneurship, careers and leadership through the StartupBox Learning System and interventions including the Inflection, CCL, OCP and Incubation Suite.

Organisational Context

Becoming

The organisational Capability Translation Layer interprets the same seven Tracks for everyday work and leadership. Becoming is the corporate learning offering through which people learn from entrepreneurial experience, apply those insights to real work and develop capability through experience.

Prime|XA Foundation stewards the research, publications, learning systems and applications that grow from FCD. The Companion Series extends the discipline through books and reflective resources, while specific contexts use their own learning systems and interventions.
